Kundalini Yoga and Meditation

The yoga of awareness: breath, movement, mantra

Getting started

What is Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is also known as the Yoga of Awareness.
According to the yogic tradition, every human being holds an extraordinary life energy, called Kundalini, symbolically represented as a potential not yet expressed.
The practice does not aim to force this awakening, but to create the conditions for body, mind and energy system to find their balance and harmony again, naturally.
Through work on the breath, movement and meditation, we learn to develop a greater capacity for listening, presence and connection with ourselves.

At Riminiscenze Olistiche, Kundalini Yoga is offered as a tool for personal growth and overall wellbeing.
Each class brings together several practices from the tradition:
Kriya (sequences of exercises)
Pranayama (breathing techniques)
Meditation
Mantra
Mudra
Deep relaxation
Presence and awareness techniques.
The aim is not physical performance, but to develop a deeper listening to your body, your breath and your energy.

A practice that continues in life

The true teaching of Kundalini Yoga does not end when the class finishes: it begins when we bring that same presence into our everyday life, into the way we breathe, listen, communicate, walk and relate to ourselves and to others. Every breath can become a meditation. Every step can become a practice. Every moment can become an opportunity to return to ourselves.

Benefits

What it can bring you

  • Increases vitality and energy
  • Reduces stress and built-up tension
  • Encourages emotional balance
  • Improves the quality of sleep
  • Develops presence and awareness
  • Harmonises the energy system

Kundalini Yoga is suitable for everyone. You don't need any yoga experience or any particular level of fitness.
Every practice is adapted to respect what each participant can do, creating a welcoming space in which everyone can go at their own pace.
More than "doing" a posture, what matters is living the experience with presence, listening and awareness.
Kundalini Yoga is a practice of wellbeing and personal growth, not a medical therapy.
