The Second Level of Usui Reiki is an important deepening of the path begun with the First Level. While the First Level introduces us to the experience of Reiki energy through the body, with the Second Level the focus widens to the emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of experience.
It is a programme of 48 hours of theory and practice, spread over three weekends, devoted to learning the Three Reiki Symbols and the Second Level treatments. At the heart of the programme is the theme of Self-Realisation: recognising your needs, giving shape to your projects, integrating past experiences and opening up to the present with greater trust.
During the seminar, the Three Sacred and Secret Symbols of the Second Level of Reiki are passed on, together with the ways to use them in practice. The three symbols are keys able to open different levels of consciousness:
The physical-emotional level, linked to energy, bodily experience and the emotional dimension;
The emotional-mental level, which leads towards the thoughts, beliefs, memories and patterns through which we interpret our experience;
The mental-spiritual level, which opens our gaze to the deepest dimension of the Self and to our relationship with the spiritual meaning of existence.
The work with the Symbols is not approached only in theory: it is experienced through meditations, treatments and exercises that gradually support the integration of the tools received.
The Second Level unfolds over three weekends, each representing a stage of the path.
First Attunement — The active side
The work is symbolically directed towards the active, solar, positive and proactive dimension of consciousness.
It is the part of us able to recognise what it wants, to choose, to act and to give shape to its projects.
Second Attunement — The receptive side
The focus shifts towards the receptive, lunar, welcoming and inclusive dimension of consciousness.
Alongside the ability to act, we thus learn to cultivate the ability to receive, listen, welcome and make room for what life brings us.
Third Attunement — The unity of the Heart
The path symbolically leads to the meeting and integration of the two polarities, active and receptive, in the unity of the Heart, described in the tradition of the course as the seat of the Atman, the spiritual principle of the Self.

Using the Three Symbols introduces three specific treatments: the Mental Treatment (the deepest dimension of consciousness), the Distance Treatment (through the Third Symbol, for people who are not physically present) and Space Clearing (to harmonise spaces energetically).

Who it is for
The Second Level is for those who have already received the First Level of Usui Reiki and wish to deepen their experience. It is also for those who wish to continue their training as a Second Level Reiki Practitioner, and for professionals in the helping relationships who are interested in integrating Reiki practice into their professional path, within the limits of their respective competences.

Personal growth and professional training
The Second Level is part of the Usui Reiki programme and leads to the Second Level Reiki Practitioner diploma. For those who wish, after an appropriate period of integration, training can continue with the Third and Fourth Levels towards Reiki Mastery and Service. Discover the Academy →
