Family and Systemic Constellations

When every element of the system is seen and acknowledged in its own place, greater harmony can emerge in relationships, along with a sense of grounding and a new freedom to move forward on your own path.

Getting started

What are Family Constellations

Family and Systemic Constellations offer a space for listening and awareness in which to observe the dynamics that seem to repeat themselves — relationships, projects, emotions, blocks — recognising the link between your personal story and the family system you come from.

Every person is born into a system made of relationships, experiences and memories that continue to live within us. Sometimes, without being aware of it, we may carry the weight of family dynamics, identifications or roles that affect the way we live our relationships, face change and fully realise our potential.
Through the Family Constellations method it is possible to see what has remained hidden until then, embrace your own story with fresh eyes and find a deeper balance.

Benefits

What it can bring you

  • Recognising patterns that repeat
  • Releasing invisible loyalties
  • Finding your place in the system again
  • Seeing a conflict from another point of view
  • Giving space to what has been left unsaid
  • Easing burdens that don't belong to us

Constellations are work on awareness and personal growth, not psychotherapy or a healthcare treatment.

How it works

What to expect

  1. The questionEvery Constellation begins with a question, a difficulty or a theme that the person wishes to explore.
  2. The representationThrough the representation of your family or relational system, information emerges that allows you to observe the situation from a broader perspective, going beyond what is immediately visible.
  3. New points of viewThe work does not look for rational solutions, but creates the conditions for new points of view to emerge, along with a deeper understanding and a different way of relating to your own experience.
  4. Respecting each person's paceEvery path is unique and unfolds with full respect for each person's pace, sensitivity and story.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we're asked most often

What are Family and Systemic Constellations?

An experiential method of awareness that makes it possible to observe the deep dynamics present in the systems we belong to: family, relationships, work. Through a symbolic representation of the system, attention can be brought to bonds and patterns that often operate unconsciously.

Do I have to bring a theme of my own?

No. You can take part without bringing a theme of your own, or the theme may emerge during the seminar. If you attend a seminar, however, active participation is required, along with a willingness to act as a representative in the other participants' constellations: this experience, too, offers valuable insights for your own path.

Do I have to talk about private family matters in front of everyone?

You can request an individual Constellation if you want to keep things confidential. In any case, during a group Constellation each person is accompanied with respect for their privacy, sensitivity and pace.

Do I need to know my family history?

No. You don't need detailed information about your ancestors. A questionnaire is sent to you beforehand to gather some information, but the work is based above all on the dynamics that emerge during the experience.

Are Family Constellations a form of therapy?

No. They are not psychological therapy and they do not replace medical or psychotherapeutic care. They are a tool for exploration, awareness and personal growth.

Can I take part even if it's my first time?

Yes. No previous knowledge is required. The seminars are open both to those coming to them for the first time and to those who wish to explore the method in more depth.

Do Constellations only take place in groups?

No. You can work either through individual sessions or through group seminars. In individual work the person is accompanied in a more private space, with experienced representatives; in group work you experience the richness of the systemic field, first on your own theme and then on those of the other participants.

How many Constellations are needed to see a change?

There is no set number: for some people a single experience offers a new perspective, while others choose to go deeper with further sessions or seminars.

Can Constellations change my family or other people?

No: their aim is not to change others or alter the past. The work concerns the way we look at our story and our relationships, encouraging greater awareness and freedom in our choices.

Can I attend the seminars even if I don't want to become a facilitator?

Yes. The paths on offer are open both to those who wish to experience Constellations as personal growth and to those who want to study the method in a training programme — indeed, the training grows out of direct experience.

What training paths are offered?

RiminiScenze Olistiche offers themed seminars on the different applications of Family and Systemic Constellations, which can be attended individually as a personal growth experience or as part of a broader training path. We also offer the two-year programme to become a Facilitator.

Can a Constellation be done on any theme?

Constellations can be used to explore many areas of life: family and emotional relationships, life as a couple, work, personal fulfilment, major changes and other situations in which you wish to bring greater clarity and awareness.
