Professional programme

Holistic Counsellor - 4 years

A programme for those who wish to deepen their understanding of the helping relationship through an integrated approach. Listening, communication and relational skills meet tools from the different holistic disciplines, allowing the future Counsellor to gradually develop a personal and conscious way of accompanying others.

The programme

4 academic years · 1440 hours

1344 hours of courses and seminars + 64 hours of group training + 32 hours of individual supervised practice. The first three years correspond to the Holistic Practitioner programme, with a fourth, supplementary year added.

What counselling means

The term counselling refers to a professional activity that aims to guide, support and develop the client's potential, encouraging active and proactive attitudes and stimulating the ability to make choices. It deals with non-specific problems (improving interpersonal relationships) that are limited to a given context: family, work, school.

Who the Holistic Counsellor is

The Holistic Counsellor is a professional in the helping relationship. Through listening, communication skills and relational competence, they help develop personal resources and improve relationships in the various contexts of life. Through a space for reflection and experience, they foster the ability to choose and to change, allowing the strengths and self-determination of individuals and groups to emerge.

With which tools

The professional supports the client on a path of personal growth and uses educational tools that recognise the person as part of a wider whole: Reiki, Ayurveda, Yoga, Family Constellations, Bach Flowers, Psychosynthesis, Archetypal Astrology, Art Therapy. The intention is to support the individual in awakening that original consciousness that is clouded by the standardised education of society.

How the programme ends

At the end of the second year it is possible to sit the exam to obtain the Family Constellations Facilitation qualification. At the end of the four-year programme a final dissertation (of at least 70 pages) is required, on a topic agreed with the Academy tutors. Once the training is complete, you can apply to be entered in the professional register of Counsellors of UniCounseling.
